If there is one skill every entrepreneur must excel at, then it is marketing. Marketing drives traffic to your business and it’s the first step to making sales.
As an entrepreneur, If you suck at marketing and sales, you will most likely struggle in business. Because until you make sales, you really don’t have a business.
So in this article I’ll share with you 5 out of many ways you can get clients for your business.
But note, marketing is not the first steps in business, you should only market after you have designed a viable product/service.
With the growth currently being experienced in Information technology and the increasing use of the internet. Chances are that your clients are likely on the internet; either surfing the net or on social media platforms, so ensure you are visible on whichever platform your targets are (could be LinkedIn, Facebook, IG, Twitter, etc).
2. CONTENT/INFORMATION MARKETING
Content they use to say is key, but today content is now the kingdom.
For your business, you might want to try creating contents that gives people information about common customer related issues within your niche/industry, your brand, etc. Some content creation platform would include YouTube, Blogging, ebooks.
Just any place where you can store content that shows you are an authority in your field.
Webinars are tested and proven. Organize free webinars, get hot prospects in the room and give them a feel of what you can offer or what your product is all about and how it meet their needs.
4. ATTEND EVENTS
Industry based events and meeting those in such classified gathering is one way to meet with very hot prospects; people who have a need for what you do.
5. EMAIL MARKETING
This is the chief of my own marketing strategy. People say emails marketing is dead but the statistics say otherwise.
Since the first email was sent 48 years ago, as of the date I was writing this, of the more than 7 billion people in the world today, there are over 4 billion email users, over 5.59 billion active emails, and the most intriguing stat is that over 300 billion emails are sent daily.
You want to get into people’s inboxes.
However, this is a skill and you will do well to get it.
More importantly, all of these might not fit your business, neither do you need to do them all. Rather, test and see which works for you.
Lastly, note, getting in front of more prospects doesn’t convert automatically to sales; your marketing strategy or approach must comprise of other elements in order to be effective.
